What is Community Solar?
Community Solar is the green energy option that makes solar available to renters and homeowners with no up front costs or expensive solar panels. Here’s how it works. Solar farms supply clean solar power into the Central Maine Power grid. Solar energy is then allocated to your Central Maine Power account based on your electricity usage and Central Maine Power credits you the value of the solar electricity allocated. Then you pay for the credits you received at a guaranteed 15% discount.

It’s Simple:
Our community solar farms send clean solar power into the Central Maine Power grid. You avoid the hassle and expense of solar panels on your roof.
Central Maine Power gives you a credit for the solar credits received on your utility bill. The credit you receive is based on a dollar amount tied to your electricity usage.
Then you pay Solar Gardens Maine 15% less than the amount credited to you by Central Maine Power. That’s 15% savings on your solar credits received each and every month.

Syncarpha is a plant in the sunflower family more commonly known as “the everlasting.“ We started in 2009 with a goal of being developers and long-term owners of distributed renewable energy projects.
